WEEK OF 29 JUN
Ten Looks, Built From the Ground Up.
This week we styled ten looks in the studio and paid attention to what the fabric does, not what the photo says. Denim carries most of the issue — bootcut, curved, printed, striped — because it holds its shape in heat and traffic alike. Everything here is available now, priced as listed.
Tank Logic
The Scars Tank Top sits close so the trousers can do the work. Take the Rockie Denim Pant if you want volume through the leg, or the Jeux Bootcut for a cleaner break over the shoe. Either way the proportion reads intentional, not loose.
Texture on Texture
The Corduroy Stretchy Tee has give where a rigid tee pulls, which matters by mid-afternoon. Pair it with the Stud Print Jean and the print handles the visual interest so the top stays quiet. A two-piece look under ₦175,000 that works from studio to dinner.
Short Lengths, Two Ways
The Bling White Top anchors this either direction: the Booty Short for evening, the Duo Belt Chinos Jort when you need more coverage and structure through the hip. Ruby Heels close both versions. Choose based on where you are after 9pm.
Indoors, Honestly
The Nas Tee over Crux Cotton Boxers is a stay-home combination that still looks considered if someone knocks. The jersey carries the look; the boxers at ₦15,000 are the quiet essential worth buying in multiples. Weekend mornings, mostly.
Red, Handled Carefully
The Painty Red Longsleeve Shirt is the loudest thing in the frame, so the Stripe Jorts keep the lower half rhythmic rather than competitive. The Rick Owens DRKSHDW MegaTurbo Dunk grounds it with weight at the ankle. Wear the sleeves pushed, not rolled.
Print Meets Fade
The Line Art Shirt over Wash Curve Jeans works because both pieces are already softened — nothing here fights for attention. The Balenciaga Derby sharpens the finish so the fade reads deliberate. Good for meetings that end somewhere less formal.
Leather Without Sleeves
The Yat Leather Vest gives structure through the shoulders while leaving the arms free, which is the only way leather makes sense in this climate. The Duo Phase Denim Pant adds movement below, and the Zavian Denim Tote carries the day. Evening in Lagos, easily.
The Racing Layer
The Bond Blue Jacket over the McQueen top is the core of this — the jacket does the talking, the tee stays plain. Below, the Grand Blue Jean keeps it tonal or the Jeux Bootcut breaks the blue. Built for evenings when the temperature finally drops.
Daylight Uniform
Line Art Shirt, Grand Blue Jean, Balenciaga Derby — a daytime formula that doesn't need adjusting between errands and appointments. The Pine Sunglasses at ₦10,580 finish it and handle the glare. Nothing here is loud; everything sits where it should.
Matched Set, Broken Right
The Mugen Brown Jacket and Mugen Brown Pant work as a set because the tone is uniform and the cut isn't stiff. The Balenciaga Derby stops it reading like a uniform. Wear it zipped halfway, and let the shoe carry the contrast.
